About Us
Five years ago, I began my journey to making candles. It started as a hobby, merely a way to distract me from a great loss in my life, (my mother and sister). I curated candle aroma’s with wonderful memories in mind. Such as the smell of honeysuckle growing on the fence in our backyard, or eating cereal to cartoons on a Saturday morning, and even boiling tea on the stove. I began sharing candles and wax melts to family and friends, and realized they enjoyed those memories as well. So, I just kept making more! Pretty soon I roped my husband Damon into attending community markets on the weekend (but not on football day!) My little hobby quickly turned into a busier small business doing 2 -3 markets in a day, so my sons Ray & Rudy and daughter in law, Mandi lovingly gave a helping hand. It became a family affair – so to speak.

We have joined together our love for candles and created many wonderful aromas, which are poured right here in our store. Rudy (my middle son) and Damon (hubby & tolerator of my obsessive ideas) created the Alpha men’s candle line. Ray (my oldest son) created The Gentlemen’s Collection, which is a more elevated aroma of candles. And of course I have created ALL the rest! lol As a new chapter of our life opened in 2025, we moved to Crosby. An unexpected opportunity presented itself to open our gift shop. We have made it a goal to partner with other local makers and carry their charming handmade products in our store. Every maker, including ourselves, has put many hours of passion and love into their business. We at Charme By Nee’ are honored to bring you quality products from many makers that are right here in our hometown area of Crosby.
